Docents
Docents provide tours of the Cantor Arts Center for groups of school children and adults. After completing a specialized study course, docents are expected to conduct regularly scheduled tours. No previous experience is required; all training will be provided on-site at the Cantor Arts Center. No training is scheduled for the time being. Lobby Desks
Greet visitors to the museum and provide information. Requires regular, twice-a-month shifts.
Bookshop
Greet visitors and handle merchandise and sales. Requires regular, twice-a-month shifts.
Administrative Support
Provide information and general office support. Requires regular, twice-a-month shifts.
Programs and Events
Assist with programs and events. Excellent opportunity for those who want to volunteer but can't commit to a regular shift.
Next Generation
Next Generation is a group of Cantor Arts Center members who create programs and events designed to foster the development of the “next-generation” of Center members, supporters, and volunteer leadership. Next Generation’s events include activities for young professionals and families, including the annual Flashlight Tour of outdoor art, Family Day, and exhibition-related programming.
Art Tours
Join the Art Tours Committee and plan popular art tours to private art collections and special exhibitions at other museums around the Bay Area and beyond.

Study Groups
Work with the Study Groups Committee to plan and execute a series of lecture/discussion sessions addressing a variety of topics of interest to Center members.

Docent Library
Assist with standard library duties in the library, which supports the docents and the docent training program.
Slide Binding
Prepare slides for use by the Department of Art and Art History faculty. This job requires keen attention to detail, good eyesight, and patience.
Student Guides
Stanford students lead informal discussions for Stanford student groups.
